Xiaomi’s Redmi series has always been popular among purchasers. The Redmi 12C was recently launched in the Indian market. The entry-level smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999 and is available in Mint Green, Lavender Purple, Matte Black, and Royal Blue. Being an entry-level smartphone, the Redmi 12C will compete with the likes of Realme, Motorola , Vivo and others.

Design

The Redmi 12C has a striped design on the back. The camera island has a glossy background that is housed within a square module. The phone has flat sides and is made of polycarbonate. The right side features a power button and volume rockers, while the left side is quite empty, with only a SIM card tray and a specific slot for a microSD card.

 

Performance

The MediaTek Helio G85 chip, which is believed to be geared for gaming, powers the Redmi 12C. The processor supports up to 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM. Virtual RAM extension of up to 11GB is also available.

 

Battery

Redmi is powered by a 5000mAh battery, and Redmi claims that this model has a day’s battery life if utilised for daily needs like as audio/video calling, messaging, and listening to music. The charging adaptor is capable of 10W charging, and the cable has a USB Type-B port on one end and a Type-A port on the other.

 

Camera

The Redmi 12C has a dual back camera configuration with a 50MP AI camera. Portrait, Night mode, video, 50MP, and time-lapse are among the features included in the camera app. A 5MP sensor is located in the centre of the display for taking selfies and making video calls.

The Redmi 12C, which costs Rs 8,999, is a fantastic option if you want a smartphone with reasonable features and specifications.
